I got 12 survey responses to my questionnaire and
The responses varied on different qualities these qualities being
- Genre & audience
- Content & narrative
- Style (of animation; claymation, puppets, models, etc.)
- Characters (development, quality of production, costume, etc.)
- Techniques & technical qualities (frame rate, movement, skill in animating multiple actions)
- Aesthetic qualities (the way it looks; mise-en-scene etc.)
- Creative qualities (imagination and flair) .
My review of my animation project is going to be a written report as it is easier to do and easier to access from home. I exhibited it via YouTube after editing and sorting through the images on premier pro. I obtained my feedback via Survey Monkey and the comment section underneath the video.
The constraints we found out was that the music supplied wasn't very good and they were all we could use if we were entering the competition. Another was we had to do it on different days but the problem with that is the weather was different so we had to re-shoot it all several times.
we had about 2 weeks for each planning, filming and editing we stuck to it well but we did need to use 1 day of editing to film as the weather was different each day. the one problem we did run into was printing the shirt as we struggled to get the logo onto the shirt
I believe we did meet the brief as we made an Esting that appeals to the E4 target audience and we also used a public YouTube account and if we were entering all we need to do is tweet them the url.
I have learnt how to make a Esting and how much pressure it takes for one to make and what problems come with it. I have also learnt how use a green screen and how to put an image on the green screen. Working to a brief meant I had to be less creative than I wanted to be as I had been set a task to make an Esting and doing so made me feel I had to do one thing and was able to do so.
i would be a suitable candidate if the brief was something a little more open as i have more creative ideas but i couldn't do them as the video could only be 10 seconds long.
I don't think animation is for me as I like filming not taking photos as I feel you can express more in a moving image than photos and that you can get more in a moving image than just a photo.
